The ONE BBSCON/Summer Shareware Seminar Convention was attended by over 3,000 computer bulletin board operators and shareware authors. There were over 500 eligible entries for the awards from which 63 were chosen as finalists. PC MagazineÆs contributing editor, Edward Mendelson, described Drag And File as

a fast, compact file manager that works equally well with the keyboard and the mouse. Unlike Windows' File Manager, it doesn't skimp on features, and it includes built-in support for ZIP compression. Unlike the full-featured file manager in PC Tools for Windows, it isn't overloaded with little-used features that slow it down. It won't startle anyone with its originality, but that's one of its merits. It does the job of file management quickly, easily, and unobtrusively, and it's one of the few Windows utilities that users will keep using after they've got tired of more dazzling programs.
